aussie, g,day....you'll find the right boat in due time, just may have to come by way of the good ol USA. I've got a question, where is Rockbank? I was "walkabout" in Oz a few years back....got around to some cool towns and other smaller cities. Mostly up and down your east coast....best trip I ever had..... and you blokes know how to have a good time!

165 hp 3.7 would have said 3.7L on valve cover or flame arrestor cover. 3.7LX would have been 180 hp 4 bbl version

I would say yes....After Australia, California is 2nd in high prices on boats. these boats were made in FL on the east coast US....they are much more common and therefore cheaper on the east coast as compared to the West Coast.....I would guess shipping from California would be cheaper though.

Agreed...and consider you are already planning to rebuild the motor...search for an I/O with a blown motor which will reduce the price considerably..if shipping charges are determined by weight, you might even look for one with no motor at all...there may be more V-20s in Aussie-Land than you suspect...search Google, Craigs List, E-Bay and others...take your time and get a good one...

I don't know the boat, but Dev has one in Boats For sale section right now for a good price...

that was probably the power steering cooler you saw, was it vertically mounted on the rear port side? The engine oil coller is made into the bottom of the intake manifold on the 4bbl engines, it has external hoses that goo to where hte oil filter is mounted. There may have been some 2 bbl versions with oil coolers, but I've never seen one.
