Sharp looking truck MJ. I'd like to have one just like it. I've got around 188k on my GMC Yukon but less than 5k on a fresh rebuild. I'm not planning on letting it go any time soon. I'd rather spend occasionally to keep it running than start any new payments right now.

Thanks guys!
No worry Wilson the snow will be here soon! I had a few come here and give me price on a new lawn, But the cost to have to cut grass was greater then I wanted so I got a truck instead! Blue, nothing wrong with the old one, nothing ever rebuilt and runs great! I thought about a car and keep the truck for just towing, but the extra cost of the 2nd car and maintenance I just decided to go with the whole change. RCK looks like all the rest! But this one aimed at you LOL I hope I made the right choice? But Kenny and CB both got new trucks! I wish I could have done new! But theses full size trucks cost some coin!

MJ, I drive virtually the same truck every day for work. I have the 2007 Sierra 1500 with the extended cab Z71 4x4, not the crew cab, but other than that our two trucks are identical (including color). I've got 75,000+ miles on it now and never had a problem. Just give it the regular maintenance when it's due and it should purrrrr like a kitten for you for years to come. You made a very good choice.

good looking rig, enjoy. wife's tahoe (02) has the 5.3 and it's been flawless for 145,000. it is the first gm vehicle i have ever owned(40 years driving) and will not be the last. i think your old truck had the 4.8, can you tell a big difference?

Old truck is a 2002 Chevy 1500, Z71, with the 4.8, 182,000 miles
It has plenty of power for what I ever needed! But this 5.3 has balls!! I could tell right away on the test drive!! The sales guy never told me what it had, but I hit the gas out of the parking lot and said wow this has the 5.3! The oly thing I did when I got the 02 when I got it was to tear out the rear springs and replaced with a set from a 2500 to boost the rear for towing the camper (30' Holiday) and cranked the T bars. So far I have not touched the new truck, but we will see?? I am not towing the camper much these days. Destroyer, thats good to hear! I do all the maintenance all the time! CB will tell you I drive hard, but I am always up on everything! So I am sure it will last! phatdaddy, I am a huge GM guy!! I have been driving one on and off for 25 years, and for the last 15 years with a 1 year slip in 04 when I bought a 98 F150, one year to the day I got rid of it and never looked back!
