![]() As far as the engine height, it is very easy to measure your transom. What you do is measure from the bottom of the v to the top of the transom where your motor would be. That measurement should be 25" or 20". That would be the size of the motor you'll need.

On the 20" vs. 25" I believe the earlier hulls were mostly if not all 20" transoms but they did make 25" a little later on, maybe early to mid 80's?
A lot of the 20" transoms have the "notch" in the middle and the 25"s are straight across. Here's the notch on my old boat ('73):
