Tabs installed, It all worked out perfectly, just a little notch using a multi function tool to the bottom of the Swim platform.
I choose not to drill holes through the transom for the power cable I routed it through the existing drains.
I was pondering if I should have powder coated the the tabs before installation ? Too late now they are on !
It is installed it in the ideal location per instructions
I just wish the instructions mentioned the fact the KeyPad is only functional when the engine is running. There I was getting ready to flip her in the driveway and it will not work. I figured it out due to the fact it called for a connection to the Tach !
Bottom line is with the engine running it works perfectly, including ignition off it retracts.
Starboard side, It clears the Kicker perfectly..

Port Side ..Nice notch on the Bayliner Swim Platform :)

This location gives me easy access from the front access door and perfect connection to the control box.

Another one off the "To Do List"

Glad everything worked out on the install man. Ya did never mention Bayliner swim platform in the beginning so thats why I thought the tabs wouldn't fit. Not to be a pain in the azz but don't ya think the tabs are a little too close to the keel?

Very good question , However per the instruction I must have a minimum of 2" off the strake its the best I could do, If I went to the other strake the bloody kicker bracket was in the way !

That is odd---My Lencos work with just the ignition in the on position--engine should not have to be running.

I mounted mine outboard about 4 inches more and had the same concern that my troller would hit them---but to no avail--they clear it just fine.

I have the auto re-track, which is wired to the TAC (for signal): if the engine is off it simply re-tracks, this makes sense, I guess, since you don't want the LED"s constantly on.
The unit is hard wire to my power distribution bar + & - with no ignition in between per instructions
Hopefully this makes sense? Or maybe I need to re-visit? Please let me know ..

Default trim tabs.............................................. .

I have a big set of tabs on my V20....the control lever went out...I never replaced it because the tabs really arent necessary...they dont do much for me... I just lock them in line with the hull....yeah you can get on a plane a little quicker but whats 5 seconds anyway

Big Mike that's a great segway for my question.

On my new '84 V I am debating whether to get tabs. I am using the boat primarily as a day cruiser a bit of fishing and some water skiing. Do you guys think I would benefit from trim tabs?
