			Being still somewhat new to this, what are tilt tube threads?

			The part of your motor that's in the front near the transom is called the tilt tube.  It's the round pipe part of your motor that connects the motor to the clamp that's bolted onto your transom.  The motor pivots up and down on this tube, hence it's name....tilt tube.  Your steering cable goes thru this tube and is held in place by a nut that screws onto the tube.  The threads that the nut screws onto are the tilt tube threads.

			I don't believe I've ever seen a steering cable come in from the port side

			Think about it, seems like it would make the steering opposite, also the tilt tube may need to be removed and reinserted backwards in order to thread correctly. Maybe it would be a European thing.

			The other part is called the steering arm from the cable to the front of motor

			Thanks guys.  Gonna remove the tube and reinsert from the correct side this weekend. Any idea what scenario would have it coming in from that side?
