Funny you should ask that. I took it about fifteen miles from where I bought it to where I dock it and my father told me the same thing over and over. He said that chances are once I et used to the boat and find a cruising sweet spot with the motor trimmed properly it will be less cumbersome to steer. He says I need to get used to the boat before I decide to do anything like replace a steering cable. If it comes to that its no big deal, I'll just cross (go under?) that bridge when I come to it. I appreciate the advice about which cable to use if I need one though and I will heed the advice come time. Tomorrow I powerwash, clean and wax. Tomorrow evening I fish. Life is good.

Bgny, I'm on L.I. as well, Kings Park/ Ft. Salonga in particular. Sounds like you've got a nice boat. Good luck w/ her.

Fort Salonga is beautiful. I have friends in Northport off Elwood and on Fort Salonga Road. Really pretty place. I'm here in Merrick, I keep the boat on a canal in Massapequa. A quick shot to Fire Island. I'm really excited about the whole thing. The boat needs TC but over time I'll piece it all together. Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it.
