any way to use a 20" shaft motor on a bracket that requires a 25" shaft motor?

I've used several of these kits on Motors before and they work well. The kits are $600+ . . . You can save some $$$ by finding pieces on ebay.

And they make that extension kit for almost every OB on the planet...except Honda...
