Reel, you and Spare made a really good find there! It looks like its gonna be a sweet ride . I wish I were a little closer, Id be more than glad ta give you a hand with it. I love seeing a dream come to reality! Good Luck!!

Reel, I know how you feel. I couldn't imagine selling my V after all the time I've spent rebuilding it and all the fun I've had with it. But it looks like you've made a good move. You got yourself a 21 year newer boat and you can dress it out any way you want. Have fun!!

On ebay right now hydraulic jack plates range from $439 to over a grand. Cheeper than making yours a 25" motor I bet, but making yours a 25" will be better.

hang your motor on it like it sits and see how far down you need to go. If I'm not mistaken, the motor on that boat is raised up in one of the higher sets of holes, You will never know untill you set it on the back and see how high it is. Any one with a V21 rigged? What set of holes do you have the motor in?

I don't know what set of holes but best I remember its as low as it will go. I'll check it out and report back.
