Media Blasting I paid for sucks! I will clean up all the parts myself so much for me being lazy, no luck paying to get stuff done I guess.
I shot the cowling and lower pans last weekend with INTERLUX Brightside One-Part Polyurethane with Teflon from West Marine. One amazing paint in my opinion, so good I will mount this on my Boat and pull the ones on my running engine. I will post pictures later as I progress along. I took a self impose break from all this stuff and planted a garden which was no fun but relaxing. |

I found a replacement power head (1/2) on Ebay minus all the corrosion show previously here are the new photos of the power assembled with all sorts of old bolts to protect the treads, Its now in my original media blasting shop then I will have each cylinder honed.
As for the MID and LU they are all zinc primed ready to paint. Old Block ![]() New Block ![]() ![]() ![]()

That is coming out nice! My 1987 140 has had everything rebuilt also. Makes it interesting to get parts. Everything under the cowling is a 1994...so you have to be creative buying parts. The only thing I needed to change was a rectifier, which e-bay helped also. Keep the photos coming.

clean the paint out of the reed holes and off the upper main bearing or you'll have issues. never paint fuel passages the fuel breaks down the paint and then the paint gums up the cylinders on 2 strokes and can result in burnt pistons. clean the intake inside where you got paint in it.
