My condolences to you, we lost out 15 month old Basset Hound Nickey last October to cancer, it's devastating to the family, I cried for weeks after that. About 4 weeks later I brought home Miss Peggy another basset, she nice , but no dog can replace the first one,take care........Ted

Sorry to hear of your loss Pipe.
BL - you are right, no pet can replace the first, that is why I have always made it a point to get a different bread each time I lost a friend. This way, you have no pre conceived notions of how they should act.
