mineral spirits works great to clean the plastic bodies, it won't hurt plastic and easy to pick up a gallon at lowes. laquer thinner for the brass parts like the jets though. no need to remove the entire carb set just remove the plastic body from the back plate with the 4 bolts. all 6 of the carbs are alike so no biggy just take them all off the clean the really good. if you aren't sure of jet locations leave one together while cleaning the rest. just any narrow blade screw driver will work removing the jets and don't forget the main jet under the center screw at the bottom.
