You can mig weld aluminum.
Here is a picture of a show host with a little welding training, but the settings are from the guy who does the job every day. It is the front bumper weld on the Corvette Z06 (we make this in one of our plants) This is a screen dump from teh show called "Ultimate Factories" We mig smaller connections, but the longer connections are laser welded.

Took the day off for lobstering tomorrow, but the 17' didnt want to start and the seas are a bit much for me in the 1967 17'.
So guess what? I'll be working on the V! As usuall with any project, i keep finding little things I can do. Bracket is probably about 4-6 weeks away form being installed. Floor may be in by Sunday. |
