I put a thru hull 20dg on mine and it always reads. I can measure it off keel to the stbd side and from the stern if you want me too.
I posted pics if you search under my name when I changed out my motor and took pics of the job. ps I have a Furuno. If you check under my posting when I changed out the motor in my boat it shows the thru hull installation also.
