Well we made it back....14 hours....a heck of a bunch of traffic from Richmond to DC....one stop for my son to leave his breakfast on the side of the road and whole bunch of stops just for sanity's sake. I know they say gettin' there is half the fun but I've never heard a catchy phrase for the ride home.
The pleasure was all mine getting to meet my first V-20 fellow member. Even got me a ride in 1974 V-20!!! I must say the the senior gentleman from South Carolina is one heck of a nice guy as well as his family and I am priviliged to get to meet him in person. It was a real kick talking about other members and stories we've read on the site (the infamous V-20 in 8" of water in Sebastian story) It is kind of like you know each other pretty well even when you first meet. Anyway...here are some pics of the trip. this was our 5th year there and we really do enjoy the area. I didnt bring my boat this year as I was not excited about the long tow from NJ but sitting a week down there without your boat is sheer torture. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
