Sorry I don't have any pictures to show you, I mounted mine as Wilson suggested. I have used them for two seasons with no problems. I don't fish for steelhead very often so that is probaly why it works for me. If I was to become a more avid salmon fisherman I too would through bolt them on the gunwhale (gunnel). Billy Mac

Thank's all,

I think i got the answer today at the lake.

One angler put them on a braket ( tubing 2X 6 ) mounted on 2 8 '' base high. The braket look like 96 '' long .

At each extremite, 1 downrigger is bolted.
I think it secure very well, mounted that way.
