Ouch is right. I just did the buy it now on the used manifold and riser. $210.00 for both as compared to $900.00 for new. I know they won't as long but If I can get a couple of years out of them, I'm good. If something major in the engine or outdrive goes this could become good bracket / outboard project and then I'll be glad I didn't spend The $900.00. Oh well its a boat, this is part of the fun, right?

Thanks, Spare and Ferm for looking

I guess this should be in the repair section, but I started it here so....

In the first shot, the riser is off

Second shot, a close up of the corrosion, this is the bolt that pulled the threads out when removing.

last shot, the manifold is off. You can see evidence of coolant in the #3 & #4 cylinders.

I also had to remove the heat exchanger and re-tap the raw water drain plug hole and install a new drain plug. The old one came apart in the fall when I tried to loosen it to drain the heat exchanger. This was easier with the manifold out of the way. Got the "new" manifold on except for a hole on the heat riser that needs a plug, its ready to start and check it out.
