Wink

I owned a 94 232 which I bought used in 96 and I'd put it up against many many boats in that size range. Please don't include them in the Bayliner catagory. These were not entry level boats and I surely didn't buy mine soley on price. They are used extensively by alot of guides on the great lakes. Built in Perry Florida. Mine had a 147 gallon fuel tank and it made for an excellent range. I ran a 225 two stroke on a bracket (factory). It had a center console that slept (that's right slept) two people. Sold it in 2000 for 20K. I've had it in the gulfstream in true 8' seas and made it in with no problems. Look in the bilge at the stringer system and you may be pleasently surprised. Sorry Phat, but the 115 sea drive was not a 23, it wouldn't get out of it's own way. The 27' on craigslist is a much different hull and it has a 10' beam. It's like comparing a V20 to a 250 Coastal. I fished extensively on a 248 Wellcraft in many tournaments and rode on a few 228's and i think the Sportcraft is a more stout boat than both. Sorry if I've offended anybody, but that's my opinion. Still, if you like the boat, and if all systems check out to your standards, I'd say buy it. Just my $.02 and sorry for the rant, but I'm old and tired.
