garage doors are typically a 7 ft. height by an 8ft or 16ft width. So 8h x 16w, and 8h x 9w may be "custom".....expect 35% more in price verses a stock size. I know Clopay is a decent door.....2" thick insulated 7x8 will go about 450.00, 7x16 is roughly double the price. Single skin doors [non insulated] are less but they dent easier. I would skip the fancy window grills/ sunbursts etc., they break easy and they're expensive. my 0.02

Thanks Phester. I wanted to go with a taller opening, so I can pull in a truck that might have ladder racks, or pulling in a boat that might have a top on.
