I used some tie straps to hold the plug in on mine because it kept falling out. Also do not use a circuit with an ARC FAULT interrupter as an electric motor can pop them as well. Unfortunately these new ARC FAULT breakers are mandatory in FLORIDA for new home construction for 09+

Phatdaddy referred to OdoBan. It is pretty good stuff. It comes in a concentrate, and a little bit goes a long way.

Try putting a bunch of newspaper and charcoal in the freezer and change it every day for a few days to see if it will absorb the odor.

MJ,
The stuff I was thinking of is Nature's Miracle and can be found at pet stores. It's an enzyme and it cleans the cat box so well you can stick your nose right close to it and smell nothing. Pat had a couple more suggestions: OxiClean Laundry is an oxygen bleach (different enzyme than the pet stuff) - spray it on and close up to keep it wet and let it sit. She says it's very good stuff. Amonia - put it in an open pan in the freezer and close it up to let the fumes work.
