A 4X4 and a couple of ratchet straps would make for a temporary axle brace to let you get it home.

Obviously no redneck ingenuity. Come on now think....."What would Stinky Hooker do in this situation?"

Ya know Ferm I think rachet straps are becoming almost as essential as duck tape and bailing wire. oh, and zip ties.

the axle snapped right behind the hub and we lost both rims/tires, so no real way to brace it together. I actually had it towed the remaining two blocks today via flatbed. $250 for TWO BLOCKS.

I was considering selling it at the end of the 2009 season anyway, so I'll leave it as an open ended deal for now. Someone can still come haul it away, but I don't want to give it away. I'd take somewhere between $2500 and $3000, otherwise it's not worth selling it to me.

In the mean time I'm going to jack it up and get it on blocks and have the trailer junked.

Look in the links section, I think Skools put in a link for a discount trailer parts warehouse a while back. I'd hang on to her too. Damn for $250 I'd dragged her home.

I don't think the trailer is worth saving. The whole thing is pretty rusty/rotted. It would need the axle, a rim and tire, rollers, most of the hardware..

I'll either buy a used trailer or just have someone put it in for me in the spring.
