1985 Wellcraft V20 w/ OMC Sea Drive 1.6L

Trailer broke down (axle broke) while trailering home today and I don't have the money for a new or used trailer. My loss is your gain.

Engine runs good. Boat needs only minor things. I just finished using it for the season.. and this happens.. :(

You must bring a flatbed or be able to put it on a new trailer from where it sits on the side of a quiet residential road.

The hull, transom and floor are all very solid.

Sorry for no pics, this was a last minute decision. I don't even want to sell it, but this may be the only way.

Take it away for $2500 OBO. Must go in the next day or two or else it may get impounded.

Dang, for a hundred bucks or so you could have it roll backed home and fix it when times are better.

A 4X4 and a couple of ratchet straps would make for a temporary axle brace to let you get it home.

Obviously no redneck ingenuity. Come on now think....."What would Stinky Hooker do in this situation?"

Ya know Ferm I think rachet straps are becoming almost as essential as duck tape and bailing wire. oh, and zip ties.

the axle snapped right behind the hub and we lost both rims/tires, so no real way to brace it together. I actually had it towed the remaining two blocks today via flatbed. $250 for TWO BLOCKS.

I was considering selling it at the end of the 2009 season anyway, so I'll leave it as an open ended deal for now. Someone can still come haul it away, but I don't want to give it away. I'd take somewhere between $2500 and $3000, otherwise it's not worth selling it to me.

In the mean time I'm going to jack it up and get it on blocks and have the trailer junked.

Look in the links section, I think Skools put in a link for a discount trailer parts warehouse a while back. I'd hang on to her too. Damn for $250 I'd dragged her home.
