el pescador -
Keith Boyd described the v20 as a "wave dancer" and I really can't think of a better way to describe the ride. 24 - 27mph is the sweet spot. The one and only recipe (that I know of ) for making hull slap in the v20: Step one: add quartering seas (big chop) Step two: distribute the weight such that it's grossly uneven ( i.e. three people are on one side) Step three: increase speed to 25mph When all these conditions are met . . . it's possible to come down a little hard on the heavy side of the V and generate hull slap. If you keep the weight distributed evenly or use trim tabs to level the boat (when it's not) you'll avoid this rare occurance.
