I got several Cast Iron Mercury stands for $100 each. bolt a plywood laminated beam between 2 of them and you can hang 4 outboards. Sure you can make a lifting eye with pipe and some welding . . . but for $35 which is the price of the lifting eye from a dealer (why bother) you only need one.
