i noticed on my boat that the only part of the floor that flexes when i walk on it is the area between the seat at the front of the console and the raised front deck. this is a small area that looks to be over the gas tank?
i am a little on the portly side so i am sure a normal weight person would not feel it like i do.. all other floor areas are solid.i put my hand in there as far as i could from under the console and it just feels like foam between the fiberglass floor and the tank. i hope to get a better look when i take out the center console. is this how it was made? seems like they would put something a little stiffer there for floor support. anyone else encounter this? |

Mine is a 1983 and there is a floor access which covers the fuel tank. This stops under the CC and I have just regular flooring between the front seat and the step up. The flooring on my 83 rest on the stringers and thats all the main support they have. I just replaced some flooring in mine last year and it was not that bad of a job.
