apparently people have been stealing from that area so instead of looking for them they grab my kid whos 32 with a family and never been in trouble be fore they let him go and told him never to come back
home land security MY *** they say keep a look out at anything suspetious
bull **** fisherman are great people to have lookingout but they are so full of ****

Sorry to hear about that Step...

The only good news is that the registration fees for boat and trailer cover two years...

Thanks for reminding me MJ!

Here is my pet peeve. If I trailer to saltwater anywhere from Gloucester to points south I need to take the Mass Pike (I-90). The toll runs anywhere from $3.25 to $6.25 each way depending on what exit I take. The rub it in your nose part is that Mass says that you can get a refund for the gas tax that you paid at the pump because it is supposedly targeted to roads and so is the toll. The paper work required to recover the tax is absurd. I figure that I spend over $1200 a year on this toll road between business and pleasure on top of the gas tax.

Everybody here is paying a tax on the fuel for their boat that is targeted for roads but how many care? We also pay for fishing and hunting licences etc. that most people don't even think about. This is really bugging me because I just looked at my phone bill online and seen that $9.60 of a $ 40.00 phone bill was taxes. Death by a thousnads cuts?

Speaking of gas tax and roads, here in NC you can get your gas tax back for anything you use in non highway items like boats, dirtbikes, tractors, etc.....it is very simple, just have to keep reciepts and send in a simple form.

I used to do it when I had the GW w/ twin 200s cause I went through a lot of fossil fuels, but now I don't bother.

You ought to make copies of all those bills and fax and mail them to all of your representatives and senators local and federal, and attach a letter of appreciation and thanks. Then ask for an incentive package to help keep you living in that area like they do for businesses. I'm sure that will work.

Man! Now I just found out that I can't get my trailer registered unless I get the brakes working!

The previous owner disconnected them like many people because they stopped working for one reason or another. I think the guy said he forgot to deactivate the reverse actuator or something like that and ended up pulling/backign the trailer down his drive way with the wheels locked up and it ticked him off so he disconnected them.

Any suggestions? The inspection people said that if the trailer came with the brakes, they need to be functioning. Man, can they kick me any harder while I'm down? They're killing me!

Here in CT you need brakes on trailers rated for 3000 # and over in order to register the trailer. My trailer has a 6000# axle and springs and 15 " tires and NO BRAKES, therefore NO registration.

I was thinking of getting brakes strickly for the inspection and registration and then taking them off the trailer and selling on ebay or craiglist or something like that. "almost new and never seen water"

Maybe we should get on set and pass them around to various V-owners here who need to register trailers? Whadya think ?? I have 15" wheels with 6 lugs
