I have been talking to CB and thinking about getting one also!! But the money is not there right now. I will try CB's at some point and see how it is.

And if there is a lot of interest for a yak forum I will make one. But has to be for more then 1 or 2 persons.

Sean....I like the color of your tarpon....


CTT...make fun of my shoes all you want, but they rock! After fishing offshore Ill usually have aching feet/calves when I wore my topsiders or sperrys. The first tric I wore with these (not crocs, these are a nother brand that is softer than crocs) I fished through the night for 18 hours straight and not a SINGLE pain the next day.

My mom bought a couple Hobie kayaks that she has up at her cottage on Scituate Harbor. I hate the darn things because you simply cannot go out in them without getting your arse and lower 1/2 of your shirt wet.

just depends on the yak. I was dry as a bone after 4 hours of fishing the Tarpon.

I think you are right. I checked out Hobie's website, and my Mom has the lanai model, which is a very short (9') yak. Putting my big arse in it is probably overloading the poor little thing.
