I'm going to give the 5200 a try, the more I look at the bracket and think about it, it is not going to have to much presure against it as when the boat is under way it will be pretty much out of the water.

Hey, if it were mine, I'd drill the holes and mount it that way.

If you don't want to drill, I'd use 5200. It won;t come off, but is somewhat more removable than epoxy.

Wouldn't one of those in-line, self priming, able to run dry, that has a head pickup of 6' pumps be easier to contend with?
Just mount it near the backsplash and pvc or hose connect to the water level.
