			It costs more to maintain a diesel...oil change, brakes and most other parts. Then, it costs more to maintain a 3/4 ton or 1ton also. My boss had to pay quite a bit more for a wheel bearing ($750 for his ford 250 vs. $270 and some change for my buddy's chevy 1/2 ton). That's been about five years so I'm not exact. I personally would have bought a diesel instead of my current truck, but I'm poor.

			I agree with Therm!!   CB and I was just talking about this as I am thinking of trading my truck next year??   I will stay with gas! But I am thinking of getting a small Toyota or something good on gas for coumting to work, The the truck be good for another 5 years if just for towing and bad weather.

On my Diesels i drive my diesel to work daily due to the diesel gets 21 in town milage and my gas gets 12 to 14 in town. my diesel get 23 hwy but towing my v20 it gets 19 hwy. my gas gets 20 to 21 hwy but towing the v with it gets 10 mpg.
