I fed a great big one about exactly 1 dozen fat sand fleas one time. Then I downsized the hook, completely covered the whole hook with fresh shrimp and hooked his butt. Unfortunately my little snoopy rod wasn't ready for what happened next. He headed south and my drag was not loose enough - SNAAAAAAP!
Caught is little brother on the next drop. Bummer.

AWESOME!!
We fish for em ever spring/end of winter. They are great eating...fight like HELL! Run 5-9lbs here for a good un. We had a guy in our club last week catch a 12.5 lder. Convicts are going nuts down here right now...its very each to catch 20-30 around the rigs in just half an hour or so.
