You do great work, I am glad you don't live close to me or my wife would have you at my house constantly. I would go broke.

Anyway, I have a question, I am doing a small drywall job, building a closet, one wall,
how do you get the corners to look good?

Get Lumber to come over and do it! While he is doing it you get the wife to sweet talk him, You get the boat ready, after he is done you take him catch some fish, go home and cook it on the grill have a few beers.

At least thats my plan, then maybe he will come by more often!

Really (I not who to ask) but in my old house I bought the metal angle they sell, just mud it to the wall, it keeps it from getting banded up and you get a perfect edge.

Dont go back and keep messin with the spackle , biggest problem is ppl keep goin over it to try and get it just a little smoother..

It dosent hurt to add alittle water to the spackle and mix it up real good so it nice and creamy just not to creamy tho
