I had no plans to seal the hull.....it is the same surface as the rest of the bilge so I think it should not need anything. As for how I am securing it, I am still pondering different ideas.

Lumber...

I've solved my dilema about the steeting wheel. Talked to my dealer this morning. He gave me a kit the allows the helm to be recessed into the dash.

We're gonna pull the motor Saturday morning at 0830 so that I can get the old steering out, and install the new rod. Wish it was the new motor going on, but maybe later this summer

whale, I asked the guy doing my work about sealing the area and he said the samething , no need sealing the hull
