We caught 4 nice ones today, all in the 38-43lb range. I lost another big one and with it my best lure. We had to ride all the way back up to the VA/NC line.

Good deal!! Nice size fish, wish theyed come on into the Chowan a little, Captain Martys report friday said they were at the border line, guess he was right. Somebodys got a nice V20 down at Arrowhead beach, guess they're not a member .

I ran into a guy with a V this summer out here with his family swimming at Winslow beach here next to the coast guard base. He said he wasn't a member, but he also said he didn't have or use a computer.

We need to meet one day, let me know when is a good day for you and I'll meet you somewhere.

Garage, all the way to va/nc line? Thats a haul. How much fuel did you burn?

We are thinking about going again in 2 weeks....question is which inlet will the fish be closest to.

Blue I burn 45-50 gallons doing that trip. A little too close for comfort. According to GPS the last trip we were 55 miles from the inlet. But with a west wind calm seas you can almost run as fast as you want.

I have a 60 gal tk (I/O) My tli isn't working in the tank but today I pulled it to get a new one and when I measured, I had 7" of fuel left in the tank. I was going to look for a thread on here (I think I saw one once that someone had put the tank dimensions) and do the formula that should tell me how much fuel I had left but I'm guessing I had less than 1/4 of a tank left.

I did find out that it is only 29 miles from Rudee to Corolla light and it's 48 miles from oregon inlet. I estimate we trolled about 25-30 miles in a circle. We stayed in the same area all day.

Let me know when you are going again and I'll plan to go also and we can meet up and fish together.

I'll also keep a ear out where the fish are so you which inlet to go out from.

I'm going again Wednesday.
