As far as the step up to above the cuddy , there was a post about a flip down step that was the same as what was on semi's and busses to gain access. Can't find the post. It was clean, easy and stainless.

Thats a great idea. I might use that. What I had in mind is a small box with a teak hinged top, kind a like a battery box size, so I can use it to store a spare battery. JT
