I'm think I'm throwing in the towel
Today I've realized a few things while I was working on my project boat. 1) I've had this boat since May and have done very little to it because of a limited amount of time, space to work, weather, and other things that seem to keep popping up. 2) if I keep this boat, it probably wont see the water for another two to five years. 3) Because of 1, 2, and the fact that I'm trying to put what freetime I have into it I've only been on the water ONCE this whole summer (that really sucks :( )
Because of this realization I'm starting to think I need to change course and find a newer V20 (or V21) that's seaworthy and doesn't need quit so much work. The hard truth (for me) is I just don't have the time to keep up with everything around the house, work, and part time daddy duties while trying to restore a boat. So, if anyone is looking for a project boat I'm willing to give up mine (just not the trailer and I will have a V20 or V21 of my own on it). I have pics of the boat in the gallary under my username if anyone wants to take a look. It's shining features is it has a good windshield and the originial bimini top (though not in the best of shape). It's just about completly stripped down. All the jerry rigged wiring has been pulled, the steering pulled, the gas tanks are out (wouldn't recommend them to be reused) and it's about ready for someone to start the repairs. Best of all is I'll take no more than 100 bucks for someone to take it....ok, ok, so I'll give it away! :) I just need it off of the trailer and I would rather see someone who is willing to restore it get it instead of having to junk it. I think it has a lot of potential for the right person and I still have the parts I've removed (although I'm throwing the wiring away, it's junk). I'd even be willing to tow it not more than a day's drive from Virginia Beach, but that would have to be worked out. The botton line is, I rather not see this hull got to waste. If anyone is interested, or wants more details, let me know.
