I think your 175 is like my 200s. there is a hose to the "water indicator". Need to remove the side cover to reach.
Better to remove the hose than to push in things in the hopes of them coming out Have you ever replaced the internal anodes on the block? and the Tstat? I have found them gummed with salt goo. If that breaks off it can certainly block thing up. The anodes are easy. The T stat is in an awkward place. I get Suzuki parts on Boats.net
