There was zero possibility of the capitol violence stopping the transition of power - the most it could have done is delay it a little. No excuse, it was reprehensible, but it’s importance is, I think overestimated. The ongoing anarchist rioting is changing the country in ways that are going to be difficult to recover from.

Maybe I’m wrong, but you seem to be pretty dismissive of something that needs the urgent attention of ALL of us.
