See the piece of wood in the center that is not as rotten, the original transom was put in using multiple pieces. My cuts did not look like that. Mine follwed the angle of the drop down to the lowest part of the transom (opposite of angle shown). When you cut your template it will become easy to see. The idea is the just to score the plywood to a depth that you can make the bend

I believe my total project used 5 sheets of plywood. If doing stringers keep in mind they are not the same height from bow to stern. They are higher in the middle than at the bow or stern. That was a ****ty lesson measuring the stringline at bow and stern and making the cut. Good thing is I was able to use that piece on the grid.
