One Step Closer
Just brought the 21 home from havin the motor installed...been SWEATIN whether or not the Jack-Plate would set the short-shaft motor back enough from the longer transom...IT WORKED!!
  One little thing...the steering arm comin outta the front of the motor makes contact w/the top of the transom when motor is raised...solution is to cut it off and that will allow lots more tilt in case I gotta power my way off a sandbar at the coast (ask me why I might anticipate such a thing)...I think the offending protrusion is shown here...  So next time you see this, about 2 1/2" of that arm will be gone, then it'll be full-tilt capable...anyway, the thru-hull fittings should be in today and I'll hopefully have them in soon, plumb them and then splash this puppy to see how she goes...
