check it with another guage, you could have a bad gauge. I look for consistancy between the cylinders. The odds of all the cylinders being worn out the exact same is pretty rare, it could happen, but it would be rare. I think Skools had one that was low on all the cylinders. If the 185 was a comercial version of the 200, it would come with the low compresion head gaskets, that would effect the compresion as well.
