Default gettin' ready

pulled the cover and dismantled the winter frame today. Batteries were already freshly charged, hooked up the hose and fired her up. Like MJ mentioned in another post last week, I don't think the flywheel spun more than two revs and she was running. Then it stalled after 15-20 seconds, gave the ball another squeeze, hit the choke again and it went right to idle and it sounded great. Got a small punchlist of things to do, mostly just loading it up w/ the pfds, anchors, ff, bimini etc. Hopefully the first run will be some time this week or next weekend at least ;D

yes , after four months it was good to hear.I was going to do it all last week, instead I fished the tin boat. The bass and flounder seem like it's going to blow open shortly so for those evening bass trips we'll be on the V w/the enclosure. I want to put in one of those tackle drawers in front of the port side seat and "MAYBE" start thinking about getting that bottom paint off the hull. That soda blasting I think is the only way to do it because I am NOT going to sand it myself. There's not many layers of paint on there, regardless, I'll sub that one out. Lumber, your bottom paint came out excellent!

my hull looks like your before pic ken, not diasterous, but not pretty. The smart money says kicker motor and summer cover, already have the winter cover ;), [thanks Lumber] the hull is of course cosmetic. It does kill me to look at a nice hull and deck, then the chipping away bottom paint just ruins it.
