I have already checked out the transom, and it is in fine shape for mounting a bracket. Nice and dry with no wiggling around. What about traillering with a bracket rig? My v20 already sits about a foot over the back grame of the trailer. I am in Indianapolis, IN, so I need to keep it on a trailer to use it on bigger lakes.

Nipper go to the gallery and go into willy's gallery, you will see how it sits on a trailer, mine hangs a bit over too without the bracket.

And Wind Talker welcome back ;D

Go here, and look what I have done on the inside on the transom, it is 1/2 x 3" flat stock

The whole transom would have to fall out !!

Nipper, this morning, a little after midnight. you posted some news as "unfortunate"...and certainly understandable...but in the course of this day it's gone from that to launching a whole new direction for your boat, not to mention your "learning-curve" ;D ;D ;D ...great stuff!! 8) ... and glad to hear your transom is solid...MJ's got some good ideas on reinforceing it and even though it's in good shape, it probably could stand some more, specially since the trailering you mention...good luck w/ it...document the process w/ pics and post 'em here...it's a learning-curve for ALL of us!! ;) ;D ...
