He11 Yeah, NC Gov. Easley went up on the gas tax in stead of going down as requested by the whole state made us the 2nd highest gas tax in the US. He's the one WE NC people should raise he11 at not Bush. And why is it we have to pay highway gas tax at the pumps at a Marina for our boats??? they sure don't do any dredging of the waterways with it . It seems like all of our waterways and inlets are filling in.

I SAY FIRE EASLEY

Skools,
Save your reciepts when you fill up your boat, you can write off the gas tax (not the cost of gas by itself) on your taxes for the very reason you mentioned. My dad's been doing it for years.

You all can't seriously blame Bush for the price of gas! ::) That makes about as much sense as blaming him for the high number of hurricanes last year, IMO.

It's all economics, supply and demand. Lower our dependence on oil and the price will drop.
Blame Bush

1. What about the SUV tax write off for small businesses - part of the Bush's economic stimulis package. What small business didn't pass on the Free SUV tax write off?

2. Military Demand pumps up fuel prices everyday.

3. Tiny investment in alternative fuels. 150 million in ethanol research for this year.

No one is blaming him for the hurricanes, but he isn't doing anything to reduce our dependence on oil.

Tin - "blow jobs for bush" has a nice ring to it.

A year ago I would have never thought I would have paid over $3.25 a gallon. Are they setting us up for $4 a gallon this year?

the price won't stop me from getting out as often as possible,I might use my tin boat more often for those solo, local trips. Who would ever have thought it would cost 20.00 or more to fill a six gallon tank????Unbelievable.
