I can't figure it out??? Mechanical failure, suicide, just not paying attention???

One guy on the stern gets up and looks like he's going to jump overboard, person on the bow is just sitting there, probably in shock. Have a feeling people were hurt or killed in that :(

That had to be more to it than just stupidity...but it sure looks like he thought he could make it
