OH YEAH, I droll excessively over them, too! My above posts were not by any means comprehensive! ;)
I first saw a Fortier at a nearby marina a few years ago. That boat hit me where I live. I was in Cocoa Beach this past weekend and saw a 25' Shamrock for sale that, if I hadn't done the Pipe Dream refit, I'd be on the phone to that guy. Dream on . . . |

www.therunabout.com Here's Billy Joel's boat company 38', can do over 50MPH! ![]() He has a 50'+ that is totally unbelievable. I live a stones throw from where these are built. One day while fishing the Peconic Bay, I see the most awesome boat I've ever seen. Thing was a huge downeaster FLYING! Went right by my while I was drift fishing, was Billy in his 50+ footer, gave me goosebumps, really. I can't find any pictures of that boat though :(

Smiling Willy, I like that! * ;D
I saw Billy Joel on TV a few years back, piloting one of those Shelter Islands. *Sweet boats! *Remind me of the Hinckley jet-drive picnic boats -- that you can steer with a joy stick. * ::) *I'm a little more traditional than that, but I guess if you've got the $$$ . . . |

42' Bruno + Stillman
I have a friend whose father owned one of these years ago out of Montauk, I've fished on it, better looking than this one. Was called "Sea Doll". Sea Doll was actually on a TV show in the 70's about shark fishing. either American Sportsman or Wide world of Sports, can't remember.....but a very cool boat, only did about 18kts. I remember driving that baby in up on the flying bridge past Montauk Light, great memory. His father passed away several years ago, but the friend now has a 44' Henriques, another great boat. ![]() They sold the Bruno and bought a 46' Bertram, "Christine". Donnie Braddick, the guy that holds the record for the largest fish EVER caught on rod and reel, that 3,427lb. Great White skippered it for a couple seasons, fished with him once for Giants at the Mud Hole....He's a true MADMAN. Take this story for what's it worth, but he did tell as this on that tuna trip. Some of it sounds unreal to me. Capt. Frank Mundus aboard his "Cricket II" was fishing off Montauk, spotted a dead whale floating. They counted about 8 Great Whites feeding on it. They spotted one that had an estimated 1,000 pounds on the one they hooked (3,427lbs.). They could not get that giant one to tkae the bait. Once hooked, Mundus radioed Braddick, who was skippering another charter boat. Braddick comes along side the Cricket II, boards her and send his boat away wiht his Mate taking the helm. This is where this story gets a little unbelievable. Donnie says, that he and the mate of the Cricket stepped off the boat and onto the whale and were jumping up and down while all those Great Whites were feeding.....hmmm, could you even stand on a whale in the water, wouldn't be slipperey as hell. Anyway, that's what he said and has pictures too....never did see them though. Nevertheless, a very entertaining story in the middle of the night offshore waiting for the morning bite. Oh, we did hook an estimated 900lb. Giant that we lost at the transom after a 2 and a half hour battle! EDIT: Just did a search....here's a link, they say 5-6 great whites and no mention of boarding the whale, but the rest sounds right. http://homepage.mac.com/mollet/Cc/Cc_images/Cc75.html
