Default Fuel Sending Unit

I just bought a Teleflex/Morse fuel sending unit and it says on the package, "Not for tanks with through drilled holes." Now I looked at the sending unit by Tempo and it said the same thing. Can I just use sheet metal screws instead of the machine screws provided? I don't know what difference its gonna make between a tank that is through drilled and one that is not.

They never work!! >:(

I don't use one in my boat anymore!! I fixed them so may times that I gave up and when I replaced the dash never installed one!

I have 3 tanks in my boat two 20 gal and one 25 gal. I have a 3 tank value. when one runs dry I switch to another.

After you use your boat for awhile you will no how far to push it!!
I would say 90% of my fishing is done on a single 20 gal tank. So I have no worries

But the guys that must have them all seem to like the Navman system

lets see I no have gas gage, no bilge pumps, only one battery, no horn, no compass, didn't even have a VHF till last year.

I have only been on a plane one time and that was 1 1/2 years ago. was ok but I am in no hurry to get back on one!!

I figure I can float for awhile with all this fat and then I will be giving back to the fish that I have been eatting all these years!! ;D
