$5300 sounds right on to me with no power. I have a '94 V21 and I paid $6500 with a running Yamaha 150 of the same year. I re-powered with a brand new Yamaha 150 2 stroke because the motor that was on the boat needed carbs cleaned plus I was really really wanting a brand new motor.

The PO had just awlgripped the outer hull, put on a new rub rail, raw water washdown, new transom hatches, new deck inspection plates (epoxied in), new yamaha controls, new yamaha oil tank, among other things. Oh yeah, did I mention he also let the brand new 2005 trailer go with it too?? He basically did all the work I was dreading ;D so I had to buy it. ;)

I had a '72 V20 (and still have :() I was working on and I felt I would be alot better off just selling it and buying the V21 and I'm so glad I did. Nothing against the '72, just a lot of time and money to get it like I wanted it.

Tell me this - if you sell this boat, are you gonna buy another boat? If so what size? If I were you I'd keep it and hang a new motor on it ;D

I'm sure everybody else on this board will agree with that!!! :D

Here's my V21:

Yeah, if you're stayin' in the ''boatin' bidniss'', repowerin' that hull would be a GREAT move...lots of new and improved outboards on the market since mid-90s... 8)...on the other hand, if you're gettin' out or movin' up, I think you're in the right ball-park w/your numbers...

Oh, and BR...I'm in LUST w/your boat... ;D...

Seanote, why not replace the powerhead? If I bought your boat, that's what I would do. It's the cheapest way out and you can either sell the boat (for more money) in good working order or keep it. New outboards are expensive, and if you decide to sell her later with new power, you'll never get your money back.

There`s two of us that own her together and both decided we`d like to move up in size. Stumbled onto a 2002 24' walkaround that fell into the area of " must sell " which translated into " we must buy ". I just cant afford to keep both. The V has been great but i`m looking forward to having a little more room and staying a little drier on those cold days.

Pictures of little miss SeaNote are on the way.
We`ve had her since 2001 and just noticed that we never really took pictures. I keep her on LBI New Jersey and have to make my way down there to snap a few more close-up`s.
