Default 1988 Yamaha 130

I just bought a new 150 and my old engine is in need of mechanical work. I think it needs a head gasket possibly. I am willing to part with it, to someone who is mechanically inclined for $400.

This is not an attempt to make money on someone but rather an attempt to hook someone up with an engine that ran great until very recently. She still starts on the first turn of the key.

I am located in SW CT and would like to be able to help someone who needs an engine out.

- Tom

Tom

Is your yam a 20 inch (long), or 25 inch (x-long) shaft?
Do you have any photos ?

Thanks

Can I just pop a question in here Capn Bill? You might know this. I am about to buy a 1970 v20. I've got a long shaft (20 inch) engine. Is that what that boat takes?

they change from one year to another?? some are 20 and some are 25.

The way to tell is to mesure from the top were the motor sits to the bottom of the V under the drain plug.

It might not be excat 20 or 25 but what ever it is closer to is what you need

C-Bill, other than going to Foxwoods Casino, I don't get to that area that much to recommend a place to eat. ???

Hey Bill,
Which boat is THIS engine for? I'm not sure which one of us is worse?
