We can either go together or take both boats.
You are not far from me at all. I will let you know, we like going in the middle of the week. It filters out alot idiots!!!!! pm me your number if you dont mind. My brother works for the Virginia Pilot association so he works at cape henry in the tower bringing container ships in and out of the bay so he sees and hears all the action. He is also tight with some charter guys out of rudee so we get the whole report from both sides. they caught them pretty good about 2 1/2 weeks ago and we thought they were gonna break loose then but they faded out. you are welcome to fish with us anytime. Anyday its gonna turn up.its perfect scenario now, we just just dont want it to cold snap on us to bad or else they will turn the corner out of the bay and head south in a hurry and skip us!!!lol!!

Well I just got the phone call. We are fishing in the morning. A buddy of ours caught a 158 pound blue fin yesterday (look a Virginia beach fishing center pictures) his name is Blake. Hooks sharpened ,drags set and ready to roll!!!

Hey Shane and garagenc, the striper bite has been excellent the past 2 days. Boat limiting out on stripers in the evening. Bite doesn't really start till afternoon. We fished this morning and had our alternator go bad on us, but when we left 4 boats to the south rudee were in deep battle with big tunas and the striper bite was starting to turn on. Shane kinda glad you didn't come today, would hated to have you on the boat and cut fishing trip short due to mechanical issues.

Good news on the bite picking up. Sorry about the alternator. Just one of those things that can happen....

Krack
I'm thinking of going to Rudee Friday, keep your ears open and give me a fishing report Thursday.

Do you want to go?
Thanks Lee

From everything I have heard the stripers are hitting. It sucks because of the bad reports I decided to pull my drive last week. I'm replacing the u joints, gimble bearing, and a few other things but I checked and the motor (mercruiser 5.7) needs to be aligned. That made me notice the moter bases need to be replaced. ALways something but I should have it all done this weekend so maybe I'll be in the water next week.

BTW: Remember if your fishing for tuns you need a tuns lic. to keep one.
