Default where is the anchor

i have noticed that i dont see many v 20's with anchors on the bow , why is that ?

Because they're in the storage locker... ;-)

Some guys have made bow pulpits, but not many... just happens to be more work than most guys are willing to do, I guess.

No doubt, it would be nice to have it at the ready... I thought about getting/making a bow pulpit many times, but just never got around to doing it. Perhaps one of these Winters I'll get around to it.

I have mine in a 5 gal pail inside the cuddy, all set to throw out if needed... but I don't like it banging on the deck or getting in the way of a fishing line or whatever, so I keep mine out of sight until it's needed.

My two live in a milk crate and are ready to drop inna half a minute...each w/12' chain and 300' rope attached....

mine lived on the pulpit, until this past weekend, see repair section. my new fathers day anchor with safety wire also lives on the bow. the po of my boat kept it in the deck box behind the seats and that was very inconvienent. i built a pulpit with roller about 15 years ago and love it. i like it because i can lower and retrieve and never get on the foredeck. i also use an anchor ball to retrieve and can pull in the line from the cabin. i was doing a lot of diving then and have about 35' of chain.



as you can see, it helps keep things organized
