Prayers to Pop and the whole family Franco. Interesting bunch that greatest generation, a lesson in humility. They all deserve our thanks, but they'd be the last one to ask for it. Thanks Pop

Thanks for letting us know Willy. Although we would like to, we can't keep our parents forever. My sister and I talked about it this past weekend and neither can imagine what life would be like without them. Franco, my prayers are with you, your dad and the rest of your family.

Franco, We're all praying for you and your pop. I know what you're going through. It's never easy! I lost my dad in 1980 and knowing whats happening there with your family really hits home with me. My Dad served in the Navy on a sub in WWII. It must have been extremely hard for him cause he didnt talk about it. I lost my stepfather last March and a month later my mom. We're ALL with ya brother!!

UPDATE!!!
We are getting with the doctor to release my dad to Home Hospice. They have a really fine program here and he will get the same kind of care at home as he would in the hospital. Around the clock nurses, dodctor visits, meds etc to keep him comfortable in his own house! There is nothing that they can do for his multiple conditions and we chose quality of life over sitting in a hospital bed being exposed to god knows what!

Thank you for the update. Best wishes to you, your family and your Pop. My Dad was in home hospice for a short time and it was sure better for everyone than being in the hospital. Those hospice people are saints.

Franco, Hospice has been taking care of my mom for about 6 months now, they are a great help in a bad situation. She has COPD and has been fighting it for about 10 years and just give out. i think we are getting down to the short rows now. the best any of us can hope for is an easy transition.
